Christians Wake Up!!

Just stop and consider why the Republicans who now control all of the federal government haven't even mentioned abortion (except for a halfhearted attempt to ban partial birth abortions) or gun control. In my opinion they never will because if they did fix them most of you would stop voting for these big business flunkies. The Republicans only have one issue - Getting the money out of your pocket and into theirs. So vote for Democrats and when enough of us who want to end abortion, ban gay marrage and secure our second amendment rights get on board the Democratic party will change and abortion will end. The Republicans DO NOT believe in Democracy (they believe they are the ruling class) so they feel perfectly justified in deluding you peons on these issues just to get your vote.

If you don't think it will work just consider the history of the Democratic Party in the south. When the majority changed from anti to pro civil rights the party changed because the majority demanded it. Today the Democratic Party is the champion of civil rights everywhere in the nation.

The Democrats do believe in Democracy so they, by definition, MUST follow the wishes of the majority of Democratic voters. So all we need to end abortion and ban gay marrage in America and Secure Second Amendment Rights is for some of you to join with the 45% of Democrats who agree with you on these issues. We can take the Democratic Party back!!

Comments:
I don't know where people get the idea that Christians should support the Republican Party. The Bible says that you will either love God or love money. It's pretty obvious what the Republicans worship, they support big business (big money) and lie all the way to the bank just like the father they follow who is the chief of liars.

I think that Republicans often use Christians with the "if you're born again, you have to vote Republican" line. As a conservative Democrat, I would like to see my party shift more to the center on social issues but certainly find the Republican positions on economics and non-essential military interventions such as Iraq to be totally unacceptable.

The Republicans could easily pass a ban on partial birth abortions by simply adding the words to the bill that says "except in the case where the life of the Mother is at risk". They say that there is never a case when the life of the mother is at risk, and so they won't add it. That makes no sense... if there is never a case when the life of the mother is at risk, then why do they care if the words are added? It is an argument to keep partial births legal, so they can blame the democrats and keep most of America in the Republican corner believing that the Republicans represent compassion. It really is a hoax, at the expense of our children.

Man, and here I thought I was the ONLY Christian democrate.

Thank the Lord that I am not.

Christians, wake up! That's a great title but where are our party leaders? Are they so indifferent to those who most see as not different? I would love to see Demo.s standing up and proclaiming a party God based! Anti-war, anti-abortion, pro-Bible fundementals as a norm. We should be able to say, "I'm proud to be a conservative Democrat". Right now people question it as if it's a oxymoron.
